Welcome to the first issue of our product news. We ship new features every month, and we'd like you to hear about them first, straight from us. You'll get one of these about four times a year, with everything that's new and a link to read more.

WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

01 — APP REDESIGN

A redesigned app that gets you there in fewer taps

The redesigned SLX On Air app, in light and dark

The SLX On Air app has a fresh new look on Android and iPhone, in light and dark. Your profile and every setting now live in one menu. Pick up to 10 default boards so new posts start with them already selected, and turn each board's notifications on or off from a single screen.

02 — THE TICKER

Your screen now has its own scrolling news bar

It's called the Ticker, just like the one on news channels. It scrolls along the bottom of your screen while your photos and videos keep playing above. Use it for today's offer, your opening hours, an upcoming event or a phone number, so there's always something extra for people to read.

03 — PRIVATE BOARDS

Private boards, seen only by the people you let in

Private boards: your own channel, for your own people

A private board stays out of nearby feeds and carries no location. People ask to join, and you approve each one, with a few questions first if you like. It works like your own internal channel for an office, a team or a family.

NOW LIVE

Email a photo or video, and it's on your screen

It's here, and it's called Email to Post. Every board on the Pro plan now has its own email address — the board's join code followed by @post.simplylocalx.com. Email a photo, video or PDF to it and it plays on that board's screens, usually within seconds. The subject line becomes the post's text. Only the board's owners and admins can post, and every sender is verified.
