Content format guide
Recommended settings. Content that matches them is used exactly as supplied and displays correctly. Anything else is converted first and may not look as intended.

Over 80 MB: the Android app splits the video into up to five parts that play in order, with no loss of quality, up to 360 MB. From iOS and the web console, keep files under 80 MB.
Smaller files reach screens sooner: 1080p at this bitrate is about 1 MB per second.

Images are used untouched: no resizing, no re-compression, and never enlarged, so anything below the screen’s resolution looks soft.

Each page becomes a slide. Only the first five pages are shown; longer documents upload without warning, and the rest never appear. Split them across posts.
Design for reading across a room, not in the hand. Password-protected PDFs show nothing. Transparency is flattened to white.
Time on screen
Images and PDF pages follow your board’s Slideshow Period. Videos play in full.

Orientation
Match content to the screen. Mismatched content isn’t cropped or stretched: the full frame shows smaller, with a blurred surround.
Avoid
- 4K video — reduced to 1080p. (4K images are used at full resolution.)
- 50 or 60 fps — converted to 30 fps.
- HEVC/H.265, VP9, AV1, ProRes — converted. H.264 is used directly.
